Having some carrot cake on my birthday was a joy! Especially with a scoop of my favorite cinnamon ice cream to top off my annual treat. But it certainly played out in my body for a few days, and made me remember to be mindful of sugar’s impact on my training. Definitely making sure to eat more protein in addition to my quick-energy carbs.
